The picture in the snow, taken by one of our members while training, depicts the 'ba' turn.
Ba is the Chinese name for the number 8. The position of the feet mimic the character 'ba', which looks like
a lambda, λ. This position allows for very quick directional changes allowing the weight of the body to
uncoil and move quickly in multiple potential directions. This is important in combat situations.
